Allyship as an Active Way of Life

Shoulder to Shoulder - a multifaith coalition that connects, mobilizes, and equips faith leaders in the United States to be strategic partners in countering discrimination and violence against Muslims - invites you to join us for a free and fast-paced 1.5 hour presentation on "Allyship as an Active Way of Life."

In this presentation, you will be introduced to a framework for understanding allyship “as an active way of life that utilizes bridge-building to ensure equality, opportunity, and inclusion for everyone.” Rooted in the value and condition of shared humanity and drawing from a racial justice lens, this presentation will offer definitions, tools, and next steps (while also flagging the barriers) for addressing discrimination and promoting social justice in everyday life.

This virtual event and approach to teaching allyship as an active way of life is presented by Whitney Parnell, Founder and CEO of Service Never Sleeps, a nonprofit that empowers individuals and communities to catalyze social justice through service and allyship.
